Each dupatta is hand-painted by Mithila artists in Bihar, carrying the same motifs and the same line work as the paintings — fish for abundance, lotus for purity, peacocks for love — on cotton, silk and chiffon.
Every piece is painted by hand rather than printed, so no two are alike. A lighter way into the tradition than a framed work, and one that gets worn rather than hung.
