Are all paintings original and hand-painted?+
Yes, every painting on Kritira is 100% original and hand-painted by master Mithila artists from Madhubani, Ranti, and Jitwarpur. We do not sell prints or reproductions.
What materials are used?+
Paintings are made on handmade paper or canvas using natural pigments (derived from plants, minerals, and earth) applied with bamboo brushes and twigs — the same techniques used for centuries.
Do I get a certificate of authenticity?+
Yes. Every painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity that includes the artist's name, origin, technique, and date of creation.
Can I commission a custom painting?+
Absolutely. Reach out to us at hello@kritira.in with your theme, size, and budget and we'll connect you with the right artist.
Orders & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept all major credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, and Cash on Delivery (COD) via Razorpay.
Is my payment information secure?+
Yes. All payments are processed by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We never store your card details.
Can I modify or cancel my order?+
You can cancel or modify your order within 24 hours of placing it by emailing hello@kritira.in. After that, the painting may already be in preparation or dispatch.
Do you offer discounts or coupons?+
Yes, we run offers periodically. Look out for the banner at the top of our website or subscribe to our newsletter for exclusive codes.
Shipping & Delivery
How long does delivery take?+
Paintings take 5–8 business days pan-India. Sarees and dupattas take 7–10 business days as they are hand-painted to order.
Do you ship across India?+
Yes, we ship to all major cities and most pincodes across India.
How are paintings packaged?+
Paintings are rolled in acid-free tissue, wrapped in bubble wrap, and shipped in rigid cardboard tubes or flat boxes. Textiles are wrapped in muslin cloth and placed in secure packaging.
Is shipping free?+
We offer free shipping on orders above ₹2,000. A flat fee of ₹99 applies on smaller orders.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?+
We accept returns within 7 days if the product arrives damaged or significantly different from what was shown. Due to the handmade nature of our art, slight variations in motif placement or color shade are not grounds for return.
How do I initiate a return?+
Email us at hello@kritira.in with photos of the damage within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a pickup and process a full refund or replacement.
When will I receive my refund?+
Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.
